Headlining this year’s Spring Conference is Hector Hernandez, who will be presenting a class titled Preparing Yourself for Dog Encounters. Mr. Hernandez will cover many useful topics to include: Dog encounter deadly sins, What to do when arriving at a location, What to do if owner is present, How to give or take something from a customer if dog is present, Defending against a dog encounter and attack, Correct way to use dog repellent spray, Protecting yourself by giving strikes, Loose trained and untrained dogs’ thinking, Treats when encountering dogs, Friendly, Potentially Threatening and Dangerous body language, How and when to use deadly force, What to do if you are attacked by a pack of dogs, What to do if you witness a dog attack, and many more topics. Wow! That’s a lot to pack into four days, but we know your time is valuable. The Board knows that the Conference will be beneficial to the Animal Welfare Community and encourages everyone to take advantage of this opportunity. The registration deadline is April 19, 2010, so please register today!

Enrollment

The registration form must be completed and received by CAACO (see address below) by April 19, 2010.  Please use one registration form per person.

Payment

Registration and money must be received ON or BEFORE the deadline. CAACO does not accept credit cards or purchase orders.  Please make checks payable to CAACO. Payments can be mailed to CAACO,  P.O. Box 1921, Longmont, CO 80502 or online by PayPal.

Cancellations & Late Fees

No refunds will be made on cancellations received after April 19th, 2010. Cancellations prior to that date are subject to a $20.00 processing fee.  There will be a $25.00 charge on all returned checks.  A late fee of $20.00 will be charged for registrations received after April 16, 2010.

Lodging

Room Rates are $89.00+ tax for two people at the Lakewood Holiday Inn, 7390 W. Hampden Blvd, Lakewood, Colorado (Hampden & Wadsworth).  A block of rooms has been reserved at the Holiday Inn. To make your reservation, call in house reservations at 303-980-9200 and please be sure to use the code "CAA" for the  special rate.  Reservations received after April 10, 2010 will be provided on a space available basis at prevailing rates.
