Colorado LINK/Denver University Survey

The LINK refers to the possible relations among animal abuse, interpersonal violence, and other crimes. LINK  research strives to delineate more clearly the nature of these relations Our belief is that such research information will assist animal protection professionals and human service professionals in their efforts to protect animals and humans from violence.

The Colorado LINK  Project at Institute for Human-Animal Connection at the University of Denver, Graduate School of Social Work is doing a comprehensive inquiry related to issue of LINK®   violence and human-animal bond issues in Colorado. This survey has been developed to identify the current practices, operational standards, resources, challenges and barriers found in agencies that provide Animal Control services and/or Humane Investigations in Colorado. The Institute will utilize the findings from this survey as a component of an overall Colorado needs assessment and  also  to integrate into ongoing work on the LINK®  and  the human-animal bond.
